Congratulations to our team who brought back 8 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals yesterday at the 2019 AAU Karate NC State Championship. Glenn 2 Gold Black Belt 35 - up, Empty Hand & Weapons Kata Amber 2 Gold Beginner 35 - up Womens, Empty Hand & Weapons Kata Jeremiah 1 Gold 1 Silver 11 Yr. Novice Special Needs, Empty Hand & Weapons Kata Bryce 2 Gold 14 Yr. Beginner special Needs, Empty Hand & Weapons Kata Nataly 1 Gold 1 Silver 13 Yr. Female Beginner , Empty Hand & Weapons Kata Madison 2 Bronze 11 Yr. Female Beginner , Empty Hand & Weapons Kata Everyone qualified for the 2019 AAU Karate Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in July and also all the youth qualified for the 2019 AAU Jr. Olympics to be held in Greensboro, NC. Jeremiah was last years 2018 AAU Karate National Champion with two gold medals in the special needs division. This year he'll be competing in the Jr. Olympics as well as the other youth in our program!
We returned from the 2019 AAU Regional Karate Championship this past Saturday. We wish to congratulate Bryce. He was the only one representing us from the dojo at this tournament. Bryce brought back two Gold Medals. He competed in the 14 year old Beginners Special Needs division in Empty Hand and Weapons Kata. All the teens 18 and younger from the dojo qualified at either the AAU National Karate State and Regional Championships. They will now go on to compete at the AAU Junior Olympic Games to be held in Greensboro, NC July 26 & 27. Also all students have qualified to compete at the AAU National Karate Championships to be held the first week of July in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Jeremiah Boston brought home 2 Gold Medals in the 10 year old Beginners Special Needs Division. Medalling both in Empty Hand and Weapons Kata.
2020 AAU Karate NC State Championship
Two Bronze Medals We wish to Congratulate Glenn Johnson in his recent placing of 3rd Place Bronze Medalist(s) in Adult Black Belt Kata and Weapons Kata at the 2020 North Carolina AAU Karate Championships held in Greensboro, NC this past Saturday, March 7th. Glenn is now qualified to compete at the AAU Karate Nationals in June. Glenn first started karate with his son Hugh both obtaining Black Belt after several years of training. Glenn has been training at the dojo for over 15 years and has garnered multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at both AAU Karate State and Regional Championships.
2021 AAU Karate NC District Championship
Two Silver and Two Bronze Medals We wish to Congratulate Mason Blume and Glenn Johnson in their recent placing at the AAU District Championships. Mason competing in the 7 year old beginners division won two Silver Medals in Empty Hand and Weapons Kata out of a field of 31, Mason has been training for only three months. Glean winning Bronze Medeals in the Adult Black Belt Empty Hand and Weapons Kata Divisions. Both are now qualified to compete at the AAU Karate Nationals at the end of June and beginning of July.
